Transportation Options
This modern and efficient full-service solid fuels terminal provides transportation options for inbound and outbound deliveries, including logistical support.
RailClass I Rail transportation with access to Powder River Basin, Western bituminous, Illinois Basin, and Central and Northern Appalachian coal directly to the terminal by IHB and NS railroads. A rotary rail car dumper unloads almost any type of car quickly and efficiently.
VesselVessel transportation with access to low cost Great Lakes vessel bulk shipment directly from railcar or stockpile.
BargeBarge transportation with easy access to the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers by way of the Calumet River.
TruckTruck transportation with on-site certified scales and quick access to interstate highway system via I-90 and I-94 making regional deliveries fast and easy.

Terminal Capabilities
- Large-scale storage capacity - 1.5 million tons of storage space on 107 acres, a planned phase 2 will increase storage capacity
- Optimum blending of up to four different fuels simultaneously at greater than 99 percent accuracy
- Rail access to all Class 1 railroads via IBH or NS railroads
- Simultaneous loading and unloading of rail cars and vessels
- Fast unloading - up to 135-car unit trains in approx. 7 hours
- Rotary rail car dumper accommodates 120 ton cars (all types) and unloads almost any type of car quickly and efficiently
- Accommodates 27-ft. vessel draft, up to 850-ft. length and 80-ft. beam
- Fast loading - with vessels at 3,000 tons/hour and barges at 2,500 tons/ hour
- Certified belt scales to handle water and rail deliveries
